Jax is an energetic 4 year old Golden with a great disposition and happy to be me smile that will melt your heart. 


He's smart, fun-loving and loves to fetch his ball. He's a bundle of energy and would do best in an active home where he can get lots of exercise.

Jax is always looking for something to eat and has already had to have a few surgeries to remove things that he shouldn't have eaten from his stomach. Jax may only play with rugged toys such as Nylabones and Kongs under vigilant supervision. You absolutely must be sure he has no access to anything deemed inedible as his life depends on it. If you are distracted or unable to supervise him, it's best to crate him. He will happily go in the crate with some treats. Because of this concern, Jax's new home needs to be clutter free with no small children so he doesn't have access to their toys.

Jax's foster Mom says, "Let me tell you about Jax.. He is filled with excitement energy and a zest for life. He needs action. He is 4 years young and very handsome. This dog is one of the smartest I have ever known. He has problem solving skills; I am not kidding. He is also confident and determined. His humans need to be smarter than him and anticipate his next move. He is always looking for something to eat. You absolutely must be sure he has no access to anything deemed inedible because his life depends on it. He loves people and affection and is a joy to be around."

Jax is playful and loves to play with other dogs, but he isn't a fan of sharing his food or toys, so he needs to be placed in a home where he is the only dog. Our behaviorist will work with the family that adopts Jax to help them understand and best manage these tendencies. 

Prior to adoption, all AGR dogs are given a full vet exam, including valley fever and heartworm tests, brought up to date on all vaccinations, given a microchip, neutered or spayed, and treated for any medical problems.
